It is no longer a chore to get a picture of Vivian awake. She is quickly leaving her sleepy newborn days behind her. She just loves it when anyone talks to her and will soak up any attention she can get. Strangers just eat it up when they talk to her and she flashes them her toothless smile. Everywhere we go she seems to have admirers. We went shopping in Saint John with Grammy and Grampy Underhill on Saturday and every time I looked there was someone new talking to her in her stroller. She is quite the social butterfly.
Vivian has lost her Palmer grasp reflex that made her grab your finger whenever you put it in her hand. She can now control her little hands and I find her grabbing her blankets and my hair all of the sudden. (I forgot how difficult it is to get a little clenched fist out of long hair.) She also puts her hands in front of her face and stares at them as if to say 'What are these?'. And she sure can hold her head up on her own. I might dig the bumboo seat out soon and see if she can maneuver that.
We are enjoying the spring weather and are getting out a lot. I splurged on a new 'Sit and Stand' stroller that can accommodate Vivian and Adrian and I love it so much. We have been on a number of outings including a visit to my office, walking around downtown and the passport office. I hope everyone is sucking in as much Spring as possible!
