Vivian - Week 41: Cupboard crazy

Vivian has figured out how to open cupboards and is now obsessed. That combined with the new house necessitates that I start baby proofing immediately. I am not one for locking down everything but the cleaner and medicine cupboards are on the list.

We have officially moved to our new location in New Maryland. It was a quick and easy move thanks to our wonderful family and friends that came out to lend a hand, and a moving truck! We started moving at 9AM and were eating pizza by noon. I am not sure if it is the new surroundings or not but Vivian is not sleeping well at all. I hope she gets things straightened out. Me too for that matter. I underestimated how much this move would interrupt our normal little everyday schedule that we had working for us.

I promised pictures of the new house but right now it is covered in boxes. Hopefully soon!

Vivian and Adrian loved 'packing'.

Mmmm... lasagna. Vivian ate a whole adult sized piece.

Sticking her adorable little tongue out at me. Saucy.

Vivian - Week 40: Nine months and counting

Vivian's monthly bear photos are getting more and more challenging to capture every month. I would have to sit her up, run back a few steps and call her name and click the photo and then run back to stop her from crawling off the couch. She has no fear of heights, that's for sure. It is hard to believe that the 9 month mark has come and gone. She gets sweeter every month I am sure.

Adrian is forever tugging and pulling on Vivian and I really feel badly for her sometimes. I'll be about to tell Adrian to leave her alone and I'll look and she'll be laughing her head off. Of course it only takes a minute of that and she gets fed up and starts screaming until I come rescue her. Adrian is enjoying having a new little play mate. And Vivian just loves him to death. He was napping yesterday and Vivian made her way down the hall and into her room, sat up and started waving to him and was very confused when she didn't get a reaction. I thought it was funny that she went looking for him. I guess she's a sucker for punishment. (-:

Broccoli is one of her most favorite foods.... go figure!

Adrian is forever tugging on her. She tolerates it for a second or two. It is funny that she is waving to me in the middle of it.

There is frost on the pumpkin patch these days. Her first time with mittens on and they actually stayed on. Go figure again!

Giant Pumpkin 2009

It has become a yearly tradition to get photos done at the giant pumpkin. It was a challenge this year as it has been very rainy and cold and Adrian HATES sitting for pictures but we got a few cute ones....

Adrian: My little man.

My little Adrian sure is growing up. He is always doing new things that remind me just how quickly he is growing. His 'digger' phase passed very quickly and he could care less about them now. His newest obsession is power tools and 'working'. He claims to have many workers and they are constantly calling him at all hours of the day. He is very busy! He is ecstatic to be packing and is always begging me to let him pack. The thing is he just wants to throw everything in a box and then take it out an hour later. I will say he is very good at holding the flaps down while I tape them!

He has also started going to Sunday school. He was very very hesitant at first but we just had our fourth class yesterday and he participated in the whole class while I hung out in the other room so that is progress. He is an anxious little guy and won't leave my side for too long but I am really trying to help him get over it seeing as I am going back to work after Christmas.

Not only is Adrian fully potty trained now but I find him going to the bathroom on his own, washing his hands and then returning to his toys. It really is quite something when you think he was in diapers a little more than 6 months ago. Now if only I could get him to flush.

Adrian loves to help with most chores. He is actually a really good carrot peeler.

Sorry, I don't usually post potty pictures but this one was too funny. I just found him like this out of the blue.

He made his own hat for Thanksgiving.

Vivian - Week 39: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We have had an enjoyable weekend and were spoiled by not one but two delicious Thanksgiving feasts. Vivian loved her first Thanksgiving dinners and ate every vegetable (including fiddleheads which she gobbled up) and lots of turkey. It was so lovely to be sitting between my two babies watching them happily eating. I have never felt so blessed and thankful.

Vivian is getting very brave with the standing lately. She loves to stand at the window and watch the world go by. I hope there are equally good spots for her to stand in the new house. We will officially own it come Wednesday!

'How you doin'?'

Pretty girl. All dressed up in her Sunday best.

Being mischievous. I have told her not to pull that paper down and she smiles and does it again. And it begins. (-;

Vivian - Week 38: Jamie Jr.

More proof that Vivian is a mini Jamie Jones... she is obsessed with Tim Hortins cups and the remote control! I have taken to giving her washed out cups to chew on. She really seems to like it, I think it must be the teething. There is no shortage of these around our house.

Boy did Vivian wake up in a foul mood this afternoon. (Yet more proof that she is a mini Jamie?) It probably didn't help that she was awoken by a howling Adrian. I know that makes me kind of grumpy too. But she just wouldn't give it up. Nothing would make her happy or even distract her and I tried all of my usual moves... food, nursing, book, dancing... nothing helped. I loaded us all in the car and we went for a drive to get out of the 'funk'. It seemed to work and we had a pleasant evening but I am not sure what got into her. Let's hope it was a fluke!

What baby doesn't love a good game of pots and pans?

Look at all my teeth!
