35 weeks - outside we go

Well the nice weather just came out of nowhere but we aren't complaining. Adrian got his first taste of playing outside. We went for a few walks, tested out the new wagon and sat outside on the deck in the exersaucer. We have to enjoy the back deck before the mosquitos start swarming which is sure to be any day now since we have a swamp behind our house.

Adrian has gone back to waking every couple of hours at night. (And it is killing Mommy.) We are not sure what has gotten into him. It may be his teeth or perhaps he is growing. The boy sure can pack back some food. He eats 3 big meals a day, nurses between every meal and on top of that snacks a couple times a day. I see he has inherited Mommy's appetite! This week he started eating cottage cheese mixed with peaches and egg yolks. He loves it all.

This week is our last swim class and our last 'babies in the library' class. We sure had fun but now it's time to find something new to do. With the nice weather I am sure that won't be a problem. Hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine along with us!

34 weeks - 1 more tooth, another on it's way

Adrian's top right tooth broke through yestserday and the other is not far behind it. Maybe I will be able to get these ones on camera since the bottom ones still elude me. Adrian is scooting around like nobody's business these days. He followed his Dad all the way down the hall this afternoon. And he can now go from laying down to sitting. He's a busy little baby.

On the food front we are starting to tackle finger foods. This is really fun and Mommy is always trying to think of new things to give Adrian. He had some strips of toast with cream cheese this week and started eating yogurt with fruit sauce mixed in. Mommy just loves to see him eating real food as it is the start of her independence.

Needless to say we aren't digging this newest round of snowstorm. But spring has to come sometime I guess. Until then we will be in the basement playing with our wagon.

P.S. Congrats to Julia and Doug who are expecting a little girl on August 23rd! I bet she'll be as beautiful as her Mommy!!

33 weeks - A White Easter?

So much for cute little Easter short sleeved outfit. We needed our snow gear this weekend. Adrian has been unable to use the wagon Mommy and Daddy bought him for Easter. Hopefully next weekend. It even has cup holders (not for Daddy's coffee).

We had lots of Easter fun despite the stormy weather. We went to visit Grammy and Grampy Underhill and Aunt Tracey on Saturday and Nanny and Grampy Jones on Sunday. Adrian got nice Easter presents from everyone. Uncle Brian even sent him some cool Old Navy gear all the way from Regina. We can't wait to get him into all of his adorable summer outfits.

Adrian has started eating a few finger foods. The first was the classic cheerios followed by some of Mommy's homemade baby cookies and some strips of banana. It sure takes alot of effort on his part to get a single cheerio into his little mouth. But you have to start somewhere I guess. He sure loves his food though and is quite the little eater. He will eat pretty much any fruit and veggie and be looking for more when it's gone. Our grocery bill has already increased... I can't imagine what it will be when he's about 15!

32 weeks - Scooting along

Adrian is learning and developing every day. He is on the verge of crawling and can pull himself across the floor in the blink of an eye. And if there is something he shouldn't be playing with (i.e. dirty dog toys and electrical cords) he is on top of it in the blink of an eye. I think Mommy and Daddy might be spending some time baby proofing this weekend.

Mommy and baby went swimming on Friday at the Fredericton Indoor pool and had a great time. Adrian puts his all into 'swimming' and usually burns out fast. He was in a trance all the way home. Tomorrow we start a reading class at the library where we will get to have fun with all kinds of new babies and mommies.

We had a good time in Stickney on the weekend. Grampie Underhill taught Adrian how to click his tongue and fake cough (the latter Mommy finds mildly annoying). We got out for lots of walks on the trails as it was a pretty nice spring weekend in Stickney. Barkley got nice and tired out!

Adrian is very close to getting his top 2 teeth and that is probably why he is having some fussy periods. He has two swollen humps up there. Poor boy, I bet that is painful. I hope they break through soon for both of our sakes.

Happy Easter everyone!!!
