Swimming Lessons

We started swimming lessons today.  Vivian got the giggles every time I mentioned swimming the week prior and Adrian insisted that he would have nothing to do with swimming.  So we get there and Vivian cries the whole time and Adrian jumps in and starts swimming.  I'll never figure them out.  I think Vivian's issue was missing her nap.

Actually Adrian was his anxious self when we first got there.  I told him he needed to know how to swim for PEI this summer and he told me he didn't care because he didn't want to go to PEI.  I knew right then that we were in trouble because PEI is his equivalent to Disney World right now. I was prepared to take him back to the dressing room and call it a day.  I coaxed him to the 2nd step in the pool with me (yes I was the crazy Mom with the rolled up jeans in the pool).  He paused and then just jumped in and started swimming.  I was so very proud of him.  He has always had a big anxiety problem when it comes to doing new things (especially without us) so seeing him muster the courage to try this warmed my heart.  Good job Adrian!

March Break?

March is here.  Unfortunately we are not on March Break.  Our work and daycare continues on.  But just knowing that March Break is here gives me hope.  Before you know it it will be Spring!  I am trying to stay positive about all the snow because I find it funny to choose to live in NB and then complain about the winter but well.... let's just say I am ready for Spring. :)

Adrian and Vivian have March Break festivities at school this week which is a nice thing for them to look forward to.  Adrian gets to wear his PJs all week which he thinks is fantastic.  They also have some outings to enjoy.  I love their daycare as they are very creative when it comes to getting them out of their routines a bit. While I wish we were home this week or travelling I am happy to push through and save my vacation for summer time.

Happy March Break!  Some random pictures....

Looking cute in her Christmas sweater from Aunt Tracey.

Dare devil? (Not so much, she was very careful and has not attempted it since.)

Digging a hole... not a lot else to do in 5 feet of snow.

Oh he loves to vaccuum!  Why do I fight it?

Hot Chocolate

What's better than hot chocolate after a day of playing outside? The funny thing is I don't even think they like hot chocolate, rather they like the idea of drinking a hot beverage out of a mug.  Look at Adrian's rosy cheeks.
