Boys will be boys

Yes, this is a worm he is holding. He likes to pick them up because I will let him put them in the composter. I am a true girl... 'ick!'

Only 5 more days and we will be vacationing on the tropical island of PEI! I am so very excited as is Jamie. Adrian tries to say 'PEI' but it usually turns into some version of 'E-I-E-I-O'. He will have a blast. We are going for the Canada day festivities and staying in cottages with our other 'young family' friends. There will be about 10 kids there in total so it should be fun. Now if only everything were all packed! *sigh* A Mom's work is never done!

Eat my dust Mommy!

Adrian is really starting to play with toys in a whole new way. It is exciting for Jamie and I because we get to see his imagination at work (and it is very active). Also, we get to see him play with the toys we have been spending our money on for the past year! This weekend he was all about his toy quad and would ride it all around the yard. It looks a little surreal to see him scooting around the yard on it like he was a teenager. (It doesn't go fast though, I can walk faster.) He even put his hat on backwards for some odd reason.

Birthdays, birthdays everywhere

June must be a popular time to have babies. We have lots of birthdays to celebrate this month. We started with Grampy Underhill (aka Gigi) and will continue on with Nanny Jones this weekend. Happy Birthday! Adrian enjoys any activity that involves cake so he is liking all the celebrations.

Good yard sale find!

Adrian no longer sleeps in on the weekends like he used to. I knew it was too good to be true. So now that summer is upon us Adrian and I like to take in a few yard sales on Saturday morning just to keep us occupied. What else is there to do at 8AM on a Saturday morning?

This week was a stellar week. Not only did Mommy find 2 big puzzles but Adrian found and quickly fell in love with this wiper sniper! He liked it so much the lady gave it to him. Now he pretends to wiper sniper everything just like Daddy! It is crazy just how much he learns by watching. He picked it up and pretended to pull on the pull cord and made the buzzing noise just like he has seen Daddy do. He is such a boy!

Adrian's very own playground

Jamie has been working away at a play center for Adrian and got it all finished this weekend. He did a fantastic job! Adrian is lucky to have such a handy Daddy. This is what it looked like Friday night and it warranted many "What's that?"s from Adrian.

Since it rained all Saturday not much progress was made but the sun came out on Sunday and it was no time before it was done! Adrian woke up from his nap and went out on the deck and saw it in the backyard and let out a little squeal. That alone was worth it all. Jamie took him down to play on it and he didn't know what to do first. We did have one mishap though; the slide goes a lot faster than Adrian was used to and has a bump in the middle so he hit his head the first time down and had to have some intense coaxing to try it again. But my brave little boy did and now he loves the whole thing. I am sure we will have much summer fun on our new playground.

If you're ever in the area stop in and have a swing. Adrian loves company!
