We are all pretty darn happy that the snow has all but disapppered. I'll be glad when the mud has disappeared as well so I can stop doing an extra load of jackets and splash pants every night. I am not sure how Adrian manages to get so very dirty but he comes home with mud in the most unusual places.
We took in the King's Landing Sugar Bush weekend again this year. It was really fun. Our first year without a stroller to try to manage which was nice! The animals were a hit and we drove home to the sounds of pig snort imitations which was amusing. Vivian loved the pigs from afar but had no intention of touching them. Adrian was actually interested in the history part. Last weekend we were sitting in the car waiting at a set of lights when all of the sudden he busts out the question 'Mommy, did you used to ride a horse when you were a kid?'. This was puzzling to me. I inquired if he meant for fun or to get from place to place to which he replied 'To get from place to place. Did you ride a horse to school?'. Funny boy. I can only assume this is a result of our trip to King's Landing.
Sitting in the horse buggy aka Mommy's childhood school bus.
And to think I wonder where Adrian comes up with some of his naughty ideas!
Vivian is totally potty trained except for nights. It is awesome and was oh so easy. It really only took us a couple of days and she had it down pat. She has no problem telling us when she has to go although she does get a little panicky when the urge hits. I think her strong dislike of messes has helped the process along.
Look at her adorable 'ponies'. Nobody is allowed to touch her hair except her teacher "Rora" (Laura). I am itching to play with her hair but the most she will let me do is put a clip in and that is only if she is in a generous mood. Usualy I am met with "No, Rora do it" whenever I try. Adrian has informed me that this is because "Laura is just more gentle.". Hmph. I think it is time for her first haircut but I am scared to broach the topic. If only Laura could also cut hair.
"Rora do it"
We are looking forward to summer but are trying to enjoy the free weekends while we still have them. Swimming lessons are going well and it turns out Adrian is a natural in the water. He actually decided to try them without his life jacket and has no problems (they don't go over their heads yet). We are looking forward to developing these swimming skills outside!
What girl doesn't like shoes? Vivian likes to try various pairs on and then clomp around the house.
Standing on his head.
Adrian 'reading' to Vivian. (He has this book memorized but she doesn't know that.)
I told them to look tough. Are you scared?
Maybe you should be scared... check out the shiner. Adrian vs the kitchen island. Guess who won. I tried to put the kitchen island on 'time out' which is always good to get them laughing.
