Happy Father's Day 2010
We had a great Father's Day this year. Vivian made Jamie a painted fish and Adrian had a great #1 Dad trophy that he made at school. Then we had a BBQ for our families. It was fun (even if the power went out during dessert).
Adrian and Vivian - Kisses
Adrian and Vivian are truly becoming best buddies and I can't think of anything more delightful for me to witness. They are constantly running around the house together and often play together. Adrian is a great big brother and usually lets Vivian play too (if he is in a good mood). He has taken a shine to his role of a big brother over the past week and wants to help with anything he can. He will bring Vivian her milk in the morning, tries to help her get dressed and will sing her songs when she is upset.
Offering up his very special big boy markers.... he even gave her the orange which is the only one he likes to color with. (Literally brought a tear to my eye.)
It's not always happy trails.
Vivian - just girly enough
This is as girly as Vivian gets... playing with a race car in her pretty dress. Vivian is a funny mix between girly and tom boy. She will pick up her dolly and cuddle it in, then throw it on the floor and hop on Adrian's dump truck and drive away. I love it. You never quite know what to expect with her. I am glad she is keeping her options open but she will be wearing pretty dresses if I have anything to do with it.
This is a 'twirl'.

"Soccer ball player" 2010
Another summer brings a new soccer season. Adrian's soccer career was very short lived last year but we decided to give it another go now that he is approaching four. We are happy to report he did very well this year and lasted the entire session. The New Maryland soccer league is great and the little ones play with their parents so Jamie got the honours. We are proud of our little 'soccer ball player' (Adrian's term). He's our superstar.
All suited up and ready to go.
Practicing some drills.
The water girl. She had a hard time staying on the side lines and wanted to be in the action as well.
Tired after a hard practice. Oh he looks so grown up here.
Happy Birthday Grampy U, Abby and Nanny!
We have had 3 birthday celebrations over the last 2 weekends. Adrian and Vivian are always happy to celebrate a birthday, especially if there is cake involved. Happy Birthday to Grampy Underhill, Nanny Jones and our good pal Abby Dekleva!

Adrian and Vivian helped decorate this cake.
As you can see, Smartie cakes are their speciality.
Abby even had a bouncy castle at her party. Neither Grampy or Nanny had one of these! (-:
The only thing Vivian loves more than the jumping is the falling.
