Compare my babies

Vivian: Week 14 - Squeaky wheel

Vivian is not the easy little baby she once was. Now don't get me wrong... she is far from difficult, but she has figured out that she has to complain if she is going to get her share of Mommy's time. She used to be happy to hang out in her swing all day and therefore that was where she stayed for most of the day while I ran after Adrian. But she has wised up and screams as soon as her little adorable bum hits the swing now. Good for her... bad for me. (-: She is going to be a tough cookie when she grows up.

She had her first official photo shoot on the weekend and she was adorable. She was her charming little self and I think you'll agree that we got some good shots. She was all smiles and no spit up... the perfect combination for infant photography. Next comes the tough part... bringing the boys along for a family shot.

Happy Easter 2009

The Easter bunny has found us! 'He' left a bunch of gumdrops and eggs on a chair beside Adrian's bed last night and when Adrian came in our room this morning he had already polished off the gumdrops which I found quite funny as he had no idea what they were. He found all of his eggs with great enthusiasm and was rather wound by the time we all got dressed up for church. My favorite memory of the day was Adrian finding the big bunny wrapped in chocolate and immediately trying to bite the ears through the foil... no time to unwrap him!
Egg hunt!

Poor bunny with his bitten ear.

Adrian trying to get the chocolate piece out.

Vivian almost dressed for church (still had to add tights seeing as it did snow all day).

Vivian: Week 13 - Hands?

Vivian was officially 3 months old this week. I was reminded how big she is getting when I visited the breast feeding clinic last week to get her weighed (almost 13lbs... right on track) where most of the babies are a few days old. They were all bundled up and sleeping and she was sitting on my lap cooing at people walking by. She is getting very social and wants to be checking out the world around her whenever we are out and about. Her neck is so strong now that we dug out the Bumboo chair and she loved it. She looks so big sitting up like that!

She has discovered her hands and will spends hours putting them in front of her face so she can watch them. She is so innocent and sweet... why do they have to grow up?

Vivian: Week 12 - Talking up a storm

Look at Miss Vivian holding her head up like she has been doing it for weeks now. She is getting more alert and playful every day. She loves to look you in the face and try to 'talk' and it is so sweet. It takes her a large amount of effort just to get out a little coo and she is very proud of herself when she manages one.

Vivian went to her first hockey game on Saturday. We went to watch Daddy play in Stanley. She is making me look bad because it has taken me 5 years to get out to see him play and she went before she was 3 months old. She slept through most of it but I have a feeling she and I will be watching more than a few hockey games in the future (based on how excited Adrian was to be there). Daddy even scored the goal to tie the game up!

Vivian is still sleeping through the night (10-12 hours). The strangest thing about it is that she doesn't even cry to eat when she wakes up in the morning... she just waits until I go get her ot of bed and feed her. We haven't had her weighed yet due to our lack of family doctor and the impossibility of getting a checkup when you don't have a family doctor (very long story... don't get me started) so we are going to swing by the breastfeeding clinic tomorrow to see just how much she weighs these days. I really have no idea but I feel confident that she is thriving. And our dreaded first set of shots are this week... wish us luck. It is always worse on Mommy I think.

Chillin' on the couch with Daddy. They have some very interesting conversations.

This is the best $200 I have ever spent.. we get out a lot thanks to our new stroller.
